Welcome to my virtual studio
I am so pleased to share this space with you. It is my happy place, where freedom of expression is central to all that emerges. Here, I keep all my arty treasures: paints, sketches, texture pastes, brushes and pallette knives, canvases of all sizes to name but a few...
Who knew when I was younger that my future worst nightmare would be to run out of kitchen roll?! This is now an absolute reality when I'm preparing to paint and it really makes me laugh, but it's true! I hope you enjoy looking around.

I began painting years ago, always dabbling and also studying art at school, but since Lockdown began it has become a way of life for me. It became my freedom when there was nowhere to go. I began researching artists' work and embedding my skill set. Regular practice has shown me the path to my intuitive style of acrylic painting which channels joy and freedom onto all sizes of canvas.
Whether you are looking for original art for your home, restaurant, shop, hotel or office, there is something here for you.
Please get in touch if you are looking to commission a painting and I will work with you to create your individualised piece. You are very welcome to visit in person in Ruislip, Northwest London, or I can send orders to you, wherever you may be.

Collectors of my work have given me great feedback. They find that it raises the energy of their space, allowing a harmony to take place. My signature style offers peaceful works that are calm yet vibrant.
They usually have a textured base layer that gives a discreet, interesting 3D effect that draws people in to look for further details. My paintings take shape by adding many layers. They are finished using metallic, often gold, paint which gives some glamour. The final layer is a double coat of hardy, UV-protective gloss varnish. In a sense my paintings come alive as they play with light that changes through the day.
People like the way that I wrap the painting around the edges of the canvas. That way there is no commitment to framing as the piece already looks complete. MelanieIsaacDesigns paintings look good displayed hung on a wall or propped on a shelf.
My outlook and how others perceive my art...
Since I was a child I've had a deep love of nature. When I got my first camera I was obsessed with using the macro function, going up close, capturing detail and textures. Unsurprisingly, texture features prominently in my artwork now.
Painting abstract is my favourite way of representing nature, often with a tendency to portray a feeling or energy, rather than creating works that strictly copy what I'm seeing. I could never compete with nature! Instead I like to evoke the greatness of our Universe by working intuitively and letting myself go with the flow. Often my artworks are interpreted as spiritual, ethereal, cosmic, sometimes as magical. I'm happy with any of these descriptions. As long as my art brings joy to others, that's the best outcome I could wish for.
